Had a bit of a wake up call today!! A blow out in the Cerbie, at considerable speed on the motorway. Must have had an angel on my shoulder helping keep control of the car, managed to crawl off motorway surprisingly with car and body intact. To say I was lucky is an understatement. Somebody must have been looking down on me today! Still feeling the effects of the shock

Make sure your wheels arent porous.
Both mine were at 80 mph.

Kind of shakes you up a bit. Only ever had a blowout in a Fiat 124 sport, while on the motorway. Crossed three lanes, brake into a sweat thinking about it.

I like a good adrenaline rush every now and again but, that pushed the boundaries a bit far

Know exactly what you mean Kim. Not quite the same yours was'nt self inflicted. I've only had cerb since may so i've had all summer to get cocky in it. Two weeks ago gave it to much comming out of a roundabout and lost the back end. Got control and the back flicked the other way. Well kakipants is an understatement i was waiting for the impact of the rear wheel caving in on the kerb but nothing. To this day i still dont know how i missed everthing. The gods do shine on us some days. When i got out the car it was asif somebody had taken the bones out of my legs. Lesson learnt, These bast*rds BITE. Glad your OK.

Tank slappers are very common if you don't wind off the corrective lock appropriately - some skid pan training is well worth while to make it all instinctive enough to not have to think about it! Road is not the best place to practice

A blow out in any car can be iffy...in a Cerb it must be really scary.

Glad it all worked out okay Kim.

Porous wheels should make the tyres deflate very slowly. If you are suffering then try shoving some tyre weld in, it should seal up any holes. Even when it has been cleaned off the wheels should remain airtight.

Tyre weld ! I assume this is a joke or a get you home at slow speed solution?
Replace the wheels if they are porous.
Cant see anyone advocating repairing a (not much less than) 200 mph car with a bodge.
'Will my tyres be ok for some fast driving today I wonder - oh I'll stick some tyre weld in that will help'. Gulp!!!
