Noticed today that both the drivers and passengers footwells are very damp. Drivers side is the worst with a small puddle. Seems to be most wet down both sides of the floormats (underneath), as opposed to middle of the mat.

Car has been in the garage since last Thursday which was incredibly wet on the return from work.

Any idea where the water is getting in?

I don't have any wind noise, so assume the door seals are ok.

Any advice gratefully received.

This one comes up quite a often actually.

It runs in from the engine bay area via the holes in the bulkhead that pipes/electrical wires/pedal actuator cables etc.... go through, the rubber grommits/seals can shrink. Then the water can find a way in.

Buster, can't really offer any advice on leaks on a Cerbi, as i drive a Chim. If you do a search for leaks under the Cerbi forum there appears to be quite a few posts about the subject.

Have you got Air Con? could be that! Bulk head grommets/seals.

If you're not too sure how to do a search, come back and I'll talk you through it.

Will check bulkhead for daylight.

Would aircon cause the problem both sides?

Thanks for the help.

Check that the mastic hasn't cracked around the clutch master cylinder. If it has, chip it off and replace with silkaflex.

Not had a problem with this before, but found several
goldfish attempting to steal the car today.

I'll check it out tomorrow.

Ran some clear silicon sealant down the sides of the carbon strips on the A posts just in case this is a source of the leaks.

The top windscreen seal/fillet is just pushed into place and the windscreen bonded in underneath. Should this strip be sealed in as I tried sticking a section & it seemed to make the fit worse??????

I noticed sill drain holes were mentioned - idiots guide to location please (couldn't see them last night in the garage. This may be a source of the problem as I undersealed the car a couple of weeks ago!!!

Turns out my leak is the driver's door seal.

Anyone changed the seal located on the door itself?
Seems to be bonded on - what's the best way to remove
and replace?

Cheers in advance.

have you got the4 later double bubble type seals? if not get them .. if you have then take this door seal off, if it's been superglued you'll need the inner door repainting too.
