Hi there,

Wondered if someone could answer a few of my questions?

My '97 4.2 cerbera is having a few heating problems today.. I've seen there are several threads on this however they didn't quite answer my questions.

The hot fan heater control stopped working today, however the cold fan is working fine.

I've checked the fuses and everything seems in order.

How are the heater controls secured into the dashboard?
Whereabouts are the hot and cold fans located? How do you get to them?

Any advice would be appreciated.

I had this same problem. It turned out that the hot fan (to left of passenger footwell) had seized, and caused a problem with the heater control unit which is in the passanger footwell. I don't think you will have much joy looking at the control, but it is much easier to get to the control unit.

The controls were all fine, but a nightmare to take out as there a four tiny nuts to undo. Even harder to put back in !

In the end I removed all the trim, TVR diagnosed the problem and replaced the control unit, earth lead, and charged me £1000 for theprivalege, I then put it all back together.
