Did they still fit Bilsteins when the cerbera started, then? I thought from 1995 or so TVR went to HBEs (referred to by the dealer mechanic who worked on my car as 'Bilstein imitiations' - I always had them down as one of the reasons why ride and handling are so variable on Tivvers, along with the hit and miss nature of their well geometry settings).

Far from being immitations HBE are an engineering firm that re-valve and modify Bilsteins for a number of specialist sports car applications.

Whatever my original ones were they were stter than st.

In all my years under cars I have never seen an entire set of piston rods to have pitting and large "rusty" patches on them after only 6-7 years! Criminal.

Also, they are dampers. The shock absorbers are the springs. winkhehe
