You find yourself in a fully warmed up Cerbera at the passenger drop off at Gatwick at 0445 on a Tuesday morning with enough fuel to get home if you drive sensibly and take the Motorway.

Do you:-

a) Proceed in an orderly fashion back onto the Motorway and drive in a sensible manner, short shifting up to 5th while observing the rev counter to ensure maximum fuel economy, arriving home safe in the knowledge that you have 3 hours head-start on the working day?

b) Proceed in an orderly fashion to the nearest fuel stop & brim the tank with Optimax. Then head off into the empty roads of Sussex, in the opposite direction to home, taking time en-route to ensure the shift light is still working before arriving home as the rush hour kicks in, safe in the knowledge that you've had the perfect start to the day?

I chose b biggrin

I would have chosen b. However I was awoken by a blackbird in the kitchen that had enough of sitting in the tumble dryer outlet flue being attacked by my cat and wanted out. laugh

I prefer your start to the day. wink

Was this yesterday? If so, I was there about then - would have definitely told you b (and hopped in)!

Laying in bed this morning with the window open, in Sussex, 10 miles south of Gatwick, I thought I could here thunder in the distance! wink

Another option C here! A full english while the car ticks itself cool. And then back into it to heat things up again! Is it obvious i'm pining for mine back?
