Interesting comparison, in that a 15 year old Ford is valued so much, when we had a "discussion" recently about the value of our hand built, very rare buetiful designed Cerbs going up.

When you watch Clarksons video of the Cossie get pasted by the Lotus Esprit, and then the Lotus get well and truely pasted by the Cerbera there sure is a lot of performance in a Cerb for the price these days!

Good luck with the search, but take time to get used to the Cerb or it will burn you! Or as Clarkson would say "Tear you head off"!

i bet its a hell of a lot more reliable and will stand the test of time better, than the tvr. probably be worth more in 10 years time too.

The cossie wont stand the test of time,as it already looks dated whereas a cerb doesnt. It is an iconic car though. I would like one in a collection.

Thats a fair price, check out what Mk1 Escorts go for! Old Fords will always be more saught after, you're money's safer than in a bank wink

I've had all sorts of Cossie's and luv 'em, my advise would be 'never race one' you never know how much power they've got. 340bhp is easily obtainable. The Cerb wasn't the big step up I was lead to believe, part of the reason for the LS1.

The Clarkson video is a comparison of standard cars but in reality Cossies are seldom standard.

Good luck with the hunt but you will miss the turbo lag laugh
