second hand starter

hi guys has anyone got a knackered starter off a 4.2 ajp i need the drive gear out of one because its snapped in half and apart from that its perfect only been reconned twelve months but the place has closed down now. been on internet to try and buy new gear but unable to source one cheers andy

Hi i always use ribblesdaleautos they are local to me so its easy but they do mail order i bought one from a scrapyard and each time the starter gives up i just get it reconditioned (approx £50 ) so im never of the road. try phoning them heres a link http://www.ribblesdaleauto.co.uk/html/home/default...

Got a knackered one if you want just the drive gear.I've noticed there are some slight variations between some of the starters though,so it might or might not be compatible,though i have two different knackered ones so hopefully one will be right.Drop me a mail if you want it.

I was speaking to Ray Frost, Yellow Peril's other half on the weekend and oddly enough he'd just bought a business which reconditioned starters. You could give Pauline a shout and see what could be done ...
