I was looking for tuning information on the 4.5 and came across this

www.motorcities.com/contents/01HCG340929499.html

Anyone know this car / how 520hp was achieved?

Probably achieved by adding a large pinch of salt!!

These are the most recent figures from my trials at the Donnington circuit last month:
With Dunlop 18's race slicks:
0-60: 3.5
0-100: 7.4 (a whole second faster than the factory standard! I bet they want my secrets, money talks!)
Top Speed: 210mph (gearbox was overheating for some reason, must be the new oil I'm using, so only peaked 210 on the racelogic giro, 5 miles less than my overall record which is 215mph)

210mph at Donnington!!!!!! Donnington has no straight long enough to get up to that sort of speed, GT's with more BHP can't do 200mph at Donnington. Formula One cars can't do 200mph at Donnington either

What's that smell? Horse?....no sheep?.......no.....oh it's bullsh*t!

A large bucket of salt, rather than a pinch. AFAIK the race prepared Tuscan 4.5 engines only produce around 450 bhp, so 520 in a road-car is very unlikely indeed. The engine characteristics (2 valve per cylinder) do not really allow anything over 100bhp/litre.

Well I believe Fourwheeldrift, if he said he got in excess of 200 then it must be true.... however I still believe in Santa, the tooth fairy and that Michael Jackson is as God made him, so take this how you will.

Clearly NUTs - No way will they get more than the race lumps - leasing one of these sealed bonkers engines is 7+k pa so no way are the factory is some specialist going to be able to tune one that will last more than a few 1000's miles. No way will a two valve Cerb make 115bhp/ltr when the racer only make 100/102 - Nitrous or a blower maybe - then it would last approx 5 mins.

More than likely - that would be a good speed coming out of the blind coner that leads onto it (probably never benn there!!)

I doubt it. 130mph is hardly anything to sing about if it has 520bhp. Unless that's a typo too and he meant 250bhp which would be about right for 130mph.
