Leaking front damper
Discussion
On the 3rd outing of the year (first outing=new scratch on wheel arch!) I have just noticed that a front damper is leaking quite a lot and there is a strange green oil coating the wishbone and wheelarch
So I have a couple of questions for you knowledgeable folks:
1. Is it safe to drive (carfefully) on the motorway etc
2. What kind of replacements should I be considering for spirited road driving and maybe 1-2 trackdays per yr
3. Should I think about tailoring the spring rates to suit the above style of driving and to maintain some compliance for the Wiltshire pot holes (!) or can anybody recommend a particular package to include spring rates that they have found good.
Neil Garner is just up the road so I will probably get him to do the setup despite the fact that I've only done about 100miles since he last did it
. Still it's only money.
Looking forward to your replies
