I’ve just had my windscreen replaced having picked up a new one on eBay. I decided not to claim on my insurance as the company they insist on using is not one I would trust with a Cerb especially after reading reports on PH. I used National Mobile Windscreens to fit it, on the recommendation of Byker28i, and they have done an excellent job so I thought I’d post this in case it helps somebody else.

They made sure there was a fitter in the branch on the day with TVR experience. Even so it wasn’t an easy job as the screen was 3-4mm bigger than the body aperture. The body was most likely at fault as the old screen looked to have been modified to fit and is probably why it was showing signs of white discolouration and delamination in this area. The guys at NMW got in a new screen from stock to confirm if this was the case and then sent my screen off to be modified to fit.

It took a few days but the screen was ground to size, had the edges polished and was then sealed to prevent future water ingress. I really can’t recommend the services of the Newbury branch highly enough. The fit is perfect, the side wind deflectors are undamaged, and there’s not a mark on the bodywork. What is more the fitting cost under a third of that quoted by a so-called specialist I approached a few months ago.
