Morning all,

Just sorting out a number of niggles before MOT in June. My windscreen washer button on the steering wheel doesn't work (hasn't since I got the car recently). All the other buttons are fine. Thought could be something to do with the ribbon thingy behind the steering wheel perhaps? Or could it be a fuse or something simple? Cheers.

You can check the switch by just shorting it out across the back. You can get access by either prising the switch out of the front or undoing the couple of screws on the back of the wheel which hold the switch pods in place.

I would also be inclined to see if you've got current arriving at the washer motor. If not, and the switch is OK I reckon changing (or at least checking) the ribbon cable would be a good start.

Frst thing to check is that the fluid hose hasn't melted through near the passenger side exhaust.

Classic problem with these.

or could just be the main hose is detached from the T piece connector before it goes off to the jets. Happened on mine a few times. You'll just need to remove the battery cover section of bodywork to check
