Hi all, after changing my battery, for some reason the battery light is on? I've done some searching on here and heard a lot about this big fuse? From what I can make out every Cerb owner knows about this big fuse, except me!

Where is it and what does it fuse? Where can I get replacments from too?

Cheers

The big fuse is a (normally) 100A fuse that sits between the alternator and the battery, supposedly to protect the charging circuit. For a v8, you'll find it at the bottom of the v at the back of the engine. Normally replacements come up on eBay, but I'm sure racing green do uprated 125A fuses.

you can get them from any TVR dealer for about a pound or even for free.

Our fuse went a couple of times, also our box was a bit knackered which probably didn't help so got a new fuse and box from steve heath, and has been ok since....

Before you go messing about looking for and replacing the fuse (fiddly job)...the light coming on probably means that either the battery is faulty (unlikely in this event as you state its new) or the alternator is not charging the battery (did you check this before you bought the battery..?) - check the alternator with a volt meter? just a thought.

good luck
