Hi Guys

Need your thoughts on jacking up the Cerb. Apologies for the dumbass question but I'd like to get under the car to check the condition of the chassis and other stuff.

I've heard that you can't simply lift each corner as you'd ruin the windscreen. Since it's the first time I am doing this thought I'd get some guidance first.

Also saw this on ebay, which based on the price at 460 quid, doesn't seem to bad....what do you think??

Thanks for the help

I normally just jack it up on the outriggers never had any problems myself, I use a slimline jack and try to get the jack as far under as possible.

The Jacking points are at the extreme corners of the outriggers,

To me that sounds like a big outlay on equipment unless you plan to spend many hours under you car. I would go with what people have posted already and I'm not sure that rig would suit a Cerb. Either roll the car on to blocks to get the height to get a regular jack under it or get a low entry jack if you want to spend some more money.
If your're that way inclined, it's quite therapeutic to clean off and paint/waxoil the chassis and because it is labour intensive you would probably do a more thorough job and save yourself a few quid too.

Thanks for the very clear advice Guys !!

I'll look to have a go at cleaning the chassis over the coming weeks, so this is valuable advice to not cock things up !!

The ramp/jig does look expensive but you may be right in that it doesn't seem very Cerb friendly !!

Cheers
