Just bought some nice new shiney Gaz Gold shocks and springs, not being very clued up with suspension but gonna try fitting them myself, is it just a case of taking the top and bottom bolt out and then the shocks are removed? Ive read that the front of the car should sit about 140mm high(to the outrigger?) and the rear about 10mm higher, how far to i need to wind the spring up to get it close to this?

Hi Ballsy,
I've just fitted new gaz gold pros to mine, but dont quite know how the wee swivelly bit at the top and bottom are meant help any, rattle probably !
I have 30mm of thread visible at rear with 40mm from tyre to wheelarch and 12mm of thread at the front with 25mm from tyre to wheelarch. Hope this sounds logical, as i just wound it up until the car sat back where it was before.Car drives fine doesn't bottom out, clears speed bumps and corners like a toboggan ( in the best sense ! ).I also set the + / - thing to halfway, with great intentions of adjusting later depending on ride comfort. What poundage did you order, i went for 400 lbs on the back and 450 lbs on the front, a tad stiff you might think but by f**k does she corner !!!!!!!!!!
Back ones were a piece of p**s but i had to angle grind the front bolts off and then wrestle to get the old damper out through the wishbone. Also had to remove front lower part of wishbone to enable bottom bolt to be removed. I'd recommend getting new bolts aswell, makes the whole process a lot easier to put back together.
Happy grinding my friend !

I have 375 on the rear and 400 on the front of mine, okay for normal driving but track days are rubbing the rear spiders. I think I am going to change to 450 and 500's. I might go 10inch on the rear instead of nine.
