Hi all,

Another issue on my Cerbie (I'm definitely not lucky this month!): the driver window doesn't want to go up completly and as a result I can't lock the car (which is a bit of an issue as the TVR sleeps outside for now).

I should probably mention that the window itself works ok (it can go down or up -but not to the maximum level).

Also, my ME0161 box is quite damaged (I'm not sure what it does though -any ideas welcome).

Many thanks

hi, its easy to rectify the window issue, take the door card off and reposition the sensor that tell the window if its fully up/down. it may also reset if you lower your window fully down and then up. Then open your door and close it to see if it will go up.

concerning the box, you mean one of those found in the boot? if the wires have bunt out cut them off then, open the box and reshoulder new wires where the old ones went.

Both issues you have are very easy and inexpensive fixes, so dont worry!

...not sure why this works...you may be able to disconnect the battery, about 10 secs...then reconnect it. The alarm should go off, and the windows will reset...? Others might know more about this...

Alternatively the advice given above seems apot on.

Hope you get it sorted.

Thanks all!

Before I do that (adjust the sensor), is there any better ideas? (like faulty connections, burnt switch box...)?

I have to say I have never taken out the door card. Is it easy? Any recommendations?

Hi

Removing the door card is easy, just undo the series of hex head c/sunk screws around the shut face and bottom of the door.

Support the card when you remove it from the door because there's a connector to the door release button etc that needs to be disconnected before you can remove the card completely but there's usually a good bit of slack!

Cheers
