Anyone else noticed how stty the n/s seat fixing is in a cerb? I took my seats out yesterday and found that the n/s seat was held in place with 4 bolts that went through the seat runners and then straight through the fibreglass floor without any fixing to the steel chassis! At least the drivers seat had 2 fixings through the chassis and the others through the fibreglass.
How have any of you lot overcome this?

Yes, Noticed couple of fasteners have nearly pulled thro the grp floor on passenger side, intended to relaminate and use large washers.

You're lucky, on the Griff they only bolt through fibreglass. There's no connection to the chassis whatsoever!

Someone makes some straps that go between the chassis rails which make more sense.

Same set up as the Cerb passenger seat.

We'll be sorting that during the body off...

I must say though, the fibreglass underneath the car is definately very very strong (and f'kin heavy) - axle stand flatteningly strong. We know, the damn car fell off all four and crushed them on our drive. eek

If I'm honest I not really too worried about how the seat fixings are done, as long as they are secure. In an accident you need to be restrained by the seat belt, the seat won't come out of the floor of its own accord.

When I read that, it's sound like your Cerb wants to be called Christine...!
