So, Master Fubes turned 5 at the weekend. Had a GoKart party for with his friends.

The little love only went and won : prouddadsmillie :

He now calls himself Lewis Hamilton. Just hope he isnt expecting me to be the spannerman in his budding career in motorsport hehe

Then in the evening we had a BBQ for family and friends. There I was, stood burning a sausage (and burnt the food too), totally distracted, I heard the Cerb start up yikes

A mate decided to wind me up but didnt know how to start the car. Master Fubes climbs in beside him and says "No, there isnt a key. Just push that button, then push that other button, then push that first button again" Vroom vroom.

I think I'll be hiding the keys in a different place from now on!

haha excellent! He'll be away in Dads car before you know it!

I used to run that fleet of karts years ago at Fishers Farm Kids loved them but they were a nightmare to keep running and hurt like hell when they run you over!

Glad to see they're still running and providing peoples first intros to karting.

I remember going on those carts for my 8th birthday! Still have the photo! They were brilliant, looked like the staff enjoyed them too!

Not too bad then, I would have been one of the 12 year olds hanging off the side of the karts as they were going round!

My eldest is 21. We're taking the wifes mx-5 and the cerbera on a trackday. He's hinting he wants a go...

We did this for SBaby's last party too. I think the organisers make sure the Birthday Boy wins. hehe

But the net effect is the same. SBaby is dying to get going in a gokart now. He gets behind the wheel either of my cars at every opportunity (with the engine off and the keys out, of course!!). And some genius printed a photo of Lewis Hamilton, aged 8, with a new kart - so this is what he's aiming for. He wants to be out there racing by his 8th birthday!! eek

First things first. He needs to grow first so that he can actually reach the pedals!

Don't worry. I said it quietly for exactly the same reasons as you. wink
