fuel hoses and exhaust manifolds

On my 4.5 the metal fuel lines exit the bulkhead and end up pointing at the exhaust manifolds. I've curved the flexible hoses upwards and attached thm to the bulkhead. I've also put fire sleeve over the hoses. However, they are still just a couple of inches from the exhaust manifold. Do later cars have a heat shield between the manifold and hoses; or rerouted fuel lines; or is this the final design?

Nope, that's it. Plenty of insulation and try and keep it as far from the exhaust as posible.

I tested the fire sleeve. Placed a butane flame on a sample for a couple of minutes. It charred and got red hot but the fuel hose inside survived undamaged. Pretty good!

I'll post a pic of the hose and cable routing tomorrow.
