Help !!

Off to The Ring in a couple of weeks, and I understand they are getting stricter about noise.

I got noise tested last year, once they had make me take off the trackday cans (not allowed to stick out beyond the back bumper, apparently).

Is there someone who sells something to ram up the rear pipes to keep the noise down ?

cheers

Mike

I bought some used bolt on silencers from Fleebay, but I think ACT sell them.

http://www.actproducts.co.uk/shop/silencing-trackd...

They stick out a bit at the back, but they do reduce the volume quite a bit.

TVR Car parts have some inside ones

http://www.tvrcarparts.com/pages/partdetail.asp?id...

I'm sure they do others but can't see them, give them a call

Andy sells these from his TVR monster site although I think they are a Dulfords part

http://www.tvrmonster.co.uk/store/index.php?act=vi...

Listed as Chim/Griff but think they might fit if you have standard pipes, keep meaning to get in touch to see if some bigger ones can be made so I can have them in the SP system.

Sorry to hijack, but has anyone any experience of these? I need to get some urgently and want to be sure they'll do the job when they get here.

I've been booked on a saab trackday, its the first outing for the cerb on track, and there's a fair amount of cerbera honour at stake here hehedriving

I've never been a fan of the sticky-out ones since I rounded St Mary's at Goodwood to be met by one from a cerb in the middle of the track! eek

Thanks in advance

Rob

I think Mike's are the sticky outey ones and he would rather the inserts - it does seem the bolt on are going to get more places refusing them. The ring being a key one now.

It pains me to think of the beautiful lines of a Cerb having this done to them ....
