Only got 3 runs as the rain kept stopping play, did not get a decent launch in any of them, so i reckon a better time is on the cards for sure.

If its dry 2mo, i might go back to long Marston to hopefully crack that 130mph barrier, i am on the rev limit at 7000rpm at 128mph in 3rd, so i will raise the rev limit just for the dash across the line, my calcs say 7250=132.57mph.

Rubbish 60ft, 2.063 was the best out the 3, the highest terminal was by hooking 4th just before the line, but that was with a 2.14 60ft and 11.6.

Thats a bloody good time for marginal conditions with a good 60 ft time. What tyres are you using?

Toyo 888's, would like to have tried 2nd gear an all that, but just not enough runs to experiment.

What width do you run? I have 255's at the rear and the shoulders can just touch the wheel arches through big dips on maximum compression but not enough to worry.

255/18's here also, no rubbich on the rear but the 225/18's on the front do under extreme conditions.

Thats interesting - my 235 17's on the front don't rub. Might be ride height or possibly 18's have squarer shoulders.

Jes, theres alot more grip than the sprint/hillclimb launches we have on these drag strips, there are very few sprints where its possible to break 2.5sec 64fts, even at the Brighton Speed Trials with a decent amount of rubber down we've never beaten 2.4secs... the extra grip levels of a decent strip on a warm day is quite noticeable. smile
