Dear All,

There are a couple of posts, recently started, about running temperatures and horsepower increases so I felt my recent experience may help others make important decisions…..

I took my 2001, 4.5 to Joo’s last Thursday for the Induction/Remap kit I’d mentioned here
and was firstly impressed with the performance improvement:-

Car in standard condition - 326 BHP
Short induction kit - 348 BHP
Installation of 'cool' chip and personal mapping - 388 BHP

The change in the power curve completely changed the power delivery and changed, what I thought was a good delivery, from a lumpy, chunky progress to turbine-like smoothness.

The second improvement was the temperature control change. I had previously had my fans kicking in at 94 and 98 degrees which, I thought, was the accepted standard but now that has changed to 84 and 88 degrees and the cars ability to handle traffic jams has been transformed.

The 'cool' aspect of the chip was tested in a two hour bank-holiday traffic jam around the M25. The reduced temperature increase and smaller fan intervention times lowered the under-bonnet temperatures to remove a previous high temperature stuttering.

A previously-bothering, low-rev pinking has also been eliminated.

I can't believe how much a car, that I thought was smooth and powerful, could be so improved.

Joo also spotted, and fixed, several items that previous services had missed such as thermostat, throttle pot, throttle cable adjustment and missing antifreeze. It was also the second-cheapest work I’d ever paid for - Unbelievable !

If you're thinking about improving your standard Cerb's running, response or performance I cannot recommend this guy’s services highly enough to invest your hard-earned in.

I'll second that! It's not just about getting a BIG hp number at the end. The car also becomes smoother and better behaved. If you want your AJPV8 looking after properly, take it to a man who loves them. biggrin

I remember reading a post that Joo @ TCS had stopped trading? Is this still the case or has he restarted, as i'd be v. interested in a few mods too.

Joo, if you're reading this, I do want those decats, but I lost my e-mails on Tuesday so haven't replied.

Can you buzz me again with the details please and i'll fire the moolah across. Cheers x

Hi Mr Cerbera, good to see you at Joo's wavey

Glad to hear that you've not only released some good horsepower, but that the delivery has been transformed too - which in the end is what we experience on a day to day basis on road driving conditions.

Joo is back in business, as Mr Cerbera and myself can both confirm! He's, ooooh, at least 10 yds from his last premises...... Just a few more potholes to dodge, eh Joo wink

I've had Joo's cooling chip fitted as I've posted on other threads, I think it makes a big difference and means the Cerb can be driven in heavy traffic on hot days without car or owner going into meltdown....
