Sorry if this has been raised before.

Car was left unlocked with driver window down slightly when I came home and left with the bonnet open to let car cool, door buttons worked fine at this stage.

Now the boot and door buttons do not do anything and the windows do not work, alarm works, but does not close door window. (I can start car from outside with doors closed, so starter circuit on immobiliser working) I do know how to get in properly.

Does anyone know if this is a simple fuse or relay that has maybe gone that controls the doors, boot and windows or could there be something more sinister, the boot switch is also now U/S.

Thanks in advance.

im not sure on this, but sounds like a bit of a bummer for you.

have you tried disconnecting the battery for ten fifteen mins?

your best bet and my advice is to call carl baker tomorrow and ask him. one of the true guru legends that lives and breathes tvr alarm trickery. top guy who is happy to advice over the phone for free.

search for his name on here and his number will pop up

Sounds like the window/doors box is at fault, try dissconecting it for a while and see if it resets it, if not then it means tryin to source another one/have your one repaired if your not requiring the car!!
Theres 2 different types of box, 1 for each different alarm model

Have a look at the connector plug located in the drivers footwell, it connects all the wiring from the drivers door and can be found by pulling back the carpet.
The same thing happened to me and with a bit of fiddling it all started working again! unless I was just lucky.
I don't know the wiring circuit but prehaps it has a feed in this block that operates the module in the boot?

Fuse 7 on my car works all those things, including the radio, cigar lighter socket. Did you press in the cigar lighter? I leave mine out as it blows this 15a fuse.

Cheers for the thoughts, I am thinking Alarm, as when I used the manual release in the fuse box after going in through boot release, all worked fine until it decided to do it again without touching any electricals!
I am thinking Alarm, due to the door buttons and boot button all being inactive, I do not believe the Door Control box controls the power to the boot button? but alarm would be the common link. Call to Carl coming on!

chck you haven't pressed the door lock button over ride near the gear stick. My kids do this every now and then and system doesn';t like it at all.

Try holding down key fob for say 10 seconds until alarm goes off then press again to turn off alarm then all doors, windows etc should reset.

If still screwed reset the box in boot by unplugging it. Have a look at the connecting plug to see if any have shorted. They will be pretty obvious.

Yes the Door Control box dose also control the boot release. I'd definately try unplugging the Door/Windows Control Box first to do a re set. But CAUTION! Remember to mark the plugs and sockets up first as if you get them the wrong way it blows the box. I speak from experience! I also had a problem whith bad connections.

I had this issue with mine a while ago, although it was intermittent, I could be in the locked in the car, the windows, door buttons wouldn't work, luckily my manual releases worked.
What it turned out to be was the passenger door not quite not quite making the switch when shut somehow confusing the system. A simple pull on the door pocket to pull it shut a bit more would restore the buttons/windows.
Adjusting the door catch slightly has now solved the problem.
