starter motor-wires first or bendix
Discussion
thanks guys, if i have to do it again, passenger side has to be the way to go. My pattern part starter gave up the ghost after 14 hot start problem infested months. Bit dissapointed after the original Triton lasted 11 years, done what I shouldve done in harry hindsight and took the tilton starter in to a reconitioners yesterday, it only need a new clutch and is now back on the car and spinning over like I had two batteries connected!
Yep I bought this gear assembly a short while ago, easy to fit and the starter now works perfectly, certainly cheaper than buying a whole unit

I'm pretty sure I put mine in arse first and then turned it around.
Came in from the passenger side and didn't have any issues with the Clutch lines.
It is really tight. Helps if you move the coolant pipes and wires up from the bulkhead a little.
