I had the same issue a week ago. There were two fuses had blown, a yellow and a blue.
replaced it and the door started working again.
I did have to replace the boot solenoid though as that had friend it's self.
As previously mentioned, check the fuses first.
In case you do need a boot solenoind Maplin have then for £8. Part YD79L

to access the door solenoids or motors remove the door seal on the pillar near the lock and pull open the trim panel that the seatbelt pases through , there is enough flex in the panel for you to gain access without completely removing it et voila! the lock, link rods, cable and motor can be clearly seen
I had something like this, and although the fuses were OK, the solenoid wasn't operating at all.
BUT - this was interesting - I could still hear the relay in the boot clicking when I pressed the button.
It turned out that the solenoid had jammed. Its a bit of a pig to get to - you have to go in through the B pillar, but instead I applied 12v the wrong way round to the supply to the solenoid (removed the connector from the control box and applied the power to the relevant pins) - the thinking being that it might throw the solenoid the other way and free it up.
Worked a treat. After the door was opened I went into the lock mech and solenoid with a WD40 spout and gave it a spray.
Its been fine since.
