...i have picked up my new rear badge for the cerb and want to change it over....(impatient and cant wait to do it!)
I can see that there must be 2 small nuts that hold the badge in place through the back panel, with the micro switch under the badge itself, but altough i can feel the bolts/threads within the boot it seems that the carpet/fabric seems well stuck in place over them.
Does this mean i have to try and peel the fabric back and re-stick it after or is there another alternative method that some else has used? or am i being dumb and its easier than im making out?

Not only that be prepared to gunge with sealent to stop water getting in.... Mine had been done and there were some wtaer stains from where it had leaked in the past. You have to peel back quite a bit of carpet. I used spray on trim adhesive to put it back.

When I did mine, I carefully cut 3 sides of a square some 4" x 3", making sure that there was a measure of plastic under 1 of the Vertical sides.
I then fitted the badge & stuck the carpet back down using copydex....good as gold

Hi satman, did you ever find out where they put the charging socket??

Walldonway just pull the carpet away and then resray with adhesive and push back. I'm not sure I would use anything more than this as you never know when you'll want all that carpet off again.

Still havent found the charging socket...looked every where!...I rekon they put the optimate in the boot....went off and had a cuppa...came back and shut the boot and clean forgot to do it at all!..anyway the Cerb is back to Castle on Monday to have some odds and ends sorted, (knock from rear anti roll bar onto bodywork, exhaust cotton reel replacement, noisy heater fan motor and the water problem in the drivers footwell...all under warranty!)..so hopefully they can show me where the mystery charging socket is??

I have also fitted the new rear badge, carefully peeling the carpet back to expose the recess and 2x8mm nuts holding badge in place. I will stick it back with a spray adesive, but not till after i have done the rear afterburners...should arrive soon from Quadconversions...as it looks as if some carpet has to be pulled away in order to get to the existing rear light clusters...(no point in doing the gluing twice!)....are you thinking of going to the Mid Essex meet on Sunday?

Bit touch and go at the moment. Sudden load of coolant all over the floor, coming from the below the header tank next to the battery. Will have car up on ramps today.
