Help! Can't get radio out
Discussion
Guys, I need to remove the radio to install a new aerial. The current aerial is a small stick on thingy behind the passenger sun visor. It's crap!. Went to Halfrauds today to see if I could buy the tools to extract the radio. Halfrauds tried every removal tool at their disposal none of which fitted. I thought that the Pioneer radio/cassettes were fitted as standard. If they were, why the hell can't I get mine out. Any suggestion or help greatly appreciated.
If you reach up from the space in front of the gearstick you may be able to push the radio out from behind.
The radio slots into a surround that's held in place by having it's tabs pushed out.
If these tabs haven't been pushed to their limit they'll possibly fold back and let the whole lot move.
Worth a try.

as said, hand under neath the radio and reach back for the back or radio and pull it forward.
other wise, fascia surround off and any form of radio key should slot into the key holes and you should be able to pull the radio from the cage.(unless its corroded to the cage from dampness/water leak)
