Strange noise??

Ive now owned my Cerb for a year and have meant many times to ask this question but forget untill the next time I shut the car down. What is that noise that sounds like a turbo spooling down when you shut her down?? Sorry for being a mechanical dork but for the life of me I cannot think of anything that should keep turning when the engine stops? I know I will feel real stupid when told but come on let me know??

only thing i can think of is either radiator fans or cold/hot fans in car if you have them on.

normally the rad fans will give a wuurring noise when switched off and slowing down

Mine just stops when I press the OFF button.

I've never heard the noise you mentioned.

Might be brain and heart slowing down you are right but no dont think its fans as electric fan was not on could be the aircon in free wheel thinking about it as if its not on does it not just free wheel? It does sound just like a turbo running down very cool for those who dont no though thanks will just have to open bonnet and check next time!!

Sounds like aircon to me. Try turning it off when the air con has been disengaged for a while.
