Wonky pipes

Managed to knock something underneath the cerb on friday night - didn't see a raised gate stop on a driveway. No lasting damage but now my LH pipe has dropped about 2 inches. Have looked underneath, all mounting brackets intact, bolts tight, rubber exhaust hanger in the right place, but now significant play where the back box meets the main pipe. Am going to take it to my local garage for a look-see as i can't work out how to correct the positioning myself.

Any ideas as to how to tackle it...?

Sounds like you may have cracked a weld.

Check that and see.

If you did you'll have to get it welded.

If not then you should be able to re-align everything by loosening the bolts, moving everything to it's correct position and tightening everything up again.
