Oh Hell Yeh....!

Arrived back yesterday drom a N700 weekend at The Ring, absolutely fantastic and the car went, stopped and handled better than i thought it would, something like 2500 miles in one great weekend.

Even though i now have to realise i may not be the driving god i thought i was....in fact, unless you actually are a driving god you are made to look pretty crap!

Good to meet Mackempete and RichV6 (sp) aswell, good place to meet fellow PHers, shame we couldnt get a cerb convoy going around the track!

Nice one Loz,

Glad she held up for the weekend....sounds like an awesome run...that circuit is mad, been the GP and seen the "old track" looks a real challenge..

Nice to meet yourself and mackempete. Second time out there and a lot less scary!!
Despite not being a track god these cars can certainly cover the ground on the straighter
uphill section of the ring. Just need more experience on track.

I wish I could have taken you round in my Cerbera that time we were there. If you thought the S4 was a crazy lap......

The S4 was the perfect car for the conditions though. I'd love a well driven lap in a Cerbera though, perhaps when you get the next one? thumbup

Oh and I enjoyed the footage of your Range Rover Sport TDV8 lap too - brilliant! bow

Did you take in any autobahns too? We couldnt work out whether we were on one or not so just assumed that when the locals were doing over 100mph that it was probably safe to go for it biggrin

rofl it almost certainly wasn't! When you can "go for it"...its obvious!

Nice one anyway. More Tivs at the Ring, can't be bad. They're starting to get used to them again. biggrin

Whoops! I was north of 170 paperbag Is it really obvious? we didnt see any speed limit signs so assumed it was ok? Do they have special signs saying no limit or something?

It just started spitting on the last lap we did in the cerb on the sunday, then we went out for a pax lap in an evo.....bloody hell, now that was driving! on r888s too.
The autobahns just have a similar sign to our nsl sign i think, most countries were just a blur to be honest biggrin

The Autobahn is easy, they are unlimited unless you see a Speed Limit sign (Red Circle), at the end of the limit there will be a National Speed sign and you can get your foot down again!! I passed a cop last week at 140mph and he did'nt batter an eyelid!! nutsnuts

It depends on the marshalls to be honest, i had a lot of exhaust work done before i went and am able to bolt on silencers in a couple of minutes to get it down to 98dB however we chanced it and didnt use them and got on every time no problem.
There were a few cars there louder than mine but it was great to be able to have the proper sound on track, we even got a few cheers as we popped and banged into the corners where the crowds gather to watch you crash....evil
ETA in answer to your question the noise limit can be 105 or 98dB.
