Having had a wonderful day down at the Mid Essex
meeting today ( Thanks everyone! ) I learned of a few
Cerbera owners who will be parting with their cars in
2004 for machines seen at MPH'03.

Perhaps they no longer have the need for a 2+2, or is
it just that the new designs have them hot and bothered?

Without wishing to steal their thunder....
Anyone care to step forward and say...What, Why and When???

Go create some weather...
It's a road legal Concorde!

But the T440r is/can be a 2+2 so surely it's just a natural progression?

Not the car(s) I was referring to, that said,
I confess to not having seen anyone with a 2+2 spec
T440r - are there many out there?

There's only one completed t440r (the 2nd is close). The first car was a 2+2, so AFAIK 100% of the road going 440's are 2+2

Kind of hard to spot then!

Anyone know where it's located and is the owner an active CC member?

It was sold via Harrogate HC I believe , it went wrong almost immediately and returned to the factory according to my sources - don't nkow how reliable they are though so take this all with a pinch of salt.

It was certainly back at the factory shortly after delivery (according to HHC). However, they and the owner claimed it was there for the 1000 mile service (he racked up the miles in a couple of weeks so I don't suppose there could have been anything too seriously wrong with it). It'd be nice to hear it from the horses mouth though....

Hi Graham, glad you enjoyed todays meet, good to see you and the family again.

In my opinion it must be very tempting for a Cerb owner with the cash to go that extra step for a Typhon. It's a natural progression I suppose.
Plus the fact that it is a stunning car........I sat in one at MPH and it has IMO more 'presence' than any TVR I've been in......and so much more room than in the Cerb!!!!!
I loved it...........

My source claimed HHC had tried to fix something but failed, but as my source isn't actually anything to do with HHC I don't know if any of that is true. I would think the likelyhood of it being perfect straight from the off is pretty slim though .. bloody gorgeous car mind you and well worth any amount of minor tinkering :swoon:

Joolz,

You may well be right. I saw the car (and I agree, it's absolutely stunning) on the day when it was to be collected. The showroom staff at HHC said it was just back from the factory (for the service) and the owner posted shortly afterwards saying that he's just run it in. I understand it was at the North Yorks meet today and it was the main topic of conversation so perhaps one of the attendees will have more info...

Darren.

I think I saw a titanium one in HHC one day as I drove by, but was not in there the next time I looked.

This is the PH'er - not much in his profile. It was at the factory when we were last home but I was more interested in the car parked next to it...the Loony Tunes Tuscan
