Hi guys

I'm thinking of changing my Chim for a Cerb - garage is quite small - what size is the Cerb?
Also, can someone quote me the official performance figures for a standard 4.5 (0-60/100, max speed, bhp, torque,etc...) I know all the stuff about none of them making the claimed power etc, but I'm just looking for the theoretical figures at the moment.

cheers for any help
Robert

I keep mine a a standard single garage, it fits OK. Just be carefull opening the door though (I have carpet on the wall to prevent damage). The V8 cars are rubbish, get a speed6

Second that - Speed Six has to be the way to go!
Why would you want a lumpy V8?

Im just spoiling for a fight today. Lets sort this out man to man, right out in the playground right now!
The s6 cars have the same power and more torque than the 4.2 V8 cars. Its well known that the 4.5 cars have no more power than the 4.2, the 420bhp claim is garbage, and no 4.5 in standard form ever achieved 0-60 in 3.9 that I know of. All the cars are roughly the same weight so the difference in paper performance can only be explained by the gearing. So the S6 car would redeem itself if different measures were used.
OK you V8 boys can all gang up on me now

I propose this: A V8 and my S6 back to back with a rope strung between them - in fact a Cerbera tug of war!

I know there's not supposed to be much difference between them so what are your end of gear speeds (when the buzzer comes on)?

I have a 4.2 V8:

2nd = 80mph
3rd = 110mph
4th = 145+ (not heard the buzzer in 4th yet but managed 145 without it going off :gulp: )
5th = ? Was still pulling strongly at 170

I afraid that I can't accomodate your tug of war request because they don't fit tow bars to the 4.5's. Are they still optional on the s6?

There's nothing unreliable about a 4.2 V8! I'll prove it to you...

... as soon as I get mine back from the garage :P

Buzzer?

You know, the sound off valve's bouncing of cylinders to let you know you've maxxed out in that gear.

If anyone does want to know there is a volume control somewhere, happy hunting
