is there anywhere else the chassis can rot on these, where do i look? also are there any specific tests to do on a cerb when test driving/checking one out so i don't buy a dog
many thanks

Also check where the exhaust manifold passes by the chassis in the engine bay. Under that shroud at the front of the engine bay might be worth a look if they will let you lift it, when i lifted mine for the 1st time i wasnt happy!

On a 4.5 the chassis use to rust on the upper tubes in the chassis, just behind/ beside the engine. You get a lot of heat from the exhaust system there.

When I did my body of chassis restoration a couple of years ago on my 1999 SP 6 there was no problems with the outriggers, but close to the cat´s I had to change one of the thinner diagonal tubes. The heat from the cats had burnt the powder coating off completely in that area of the chassis.
