I have a standard 4.5 Red Rose but the purple pipes are now pretty collapsed and in need of replacement. I dont want to do induction mods (yet), partly as I want to keep the car standard and partly cos I havent had enough time with the car to see whether I feel I really need induction mod/remap.
So I would like to replace the pipes. I hoped there might be a few excellent condition sets lying around in peoples garages post remaps? Anyone know of a set? thanks...

Given the condition of the ones i've removed, and how they've a) collapsed, and probably collapse further under load b) discoloured, making a nice engine bay look untidy and finally c) two pipes had started to wear so much it appears a hole may have opened up had they been left any longer.

I'd be inclined to get the induction pipes. I'm really pleased with how they look, I too really wanted to keep the old ones to retain original looks, but they also show off the 'AJP' fuel rail and this looks very nice.

I would imagine you could simply fit the pipes without any modification chip (as yours is a RR) and it would have little noticeable difference, just pleasing aesthetics.

Oh, and I like the black on black, thought i'd miss the purple, but the black pipes on black air boxes looks lovely.

Might be worth dropping a hint to a few of the Guys who are buying new Whirlwind Induction pipes from the group buy off Joo. I am sure one of them will part with their pipes.

Jules.

I'd offer mine, but to be honest, they're one of the reasons I'm replacing them! Hope you find some soon...

I have some almost mint ones in the loft. But I think new ones are quite pricey wink

Could do you 40% off the best new price you can find. They were on for a couple of months/500 miles or so and still fresh and purple..

No idea what a new price is. Saw some short induction pipes go for £104 or so on ebay last week. So assumed should be able to get some purples for about that sort of money in mint condition? But I assume 40% of new price is more than that....?
