As part of trying to water proof the car as much as possible, i just wanted to know where other Cerbs have there joint for the inner door seal.

Mine seems to start finish halfway down the A Pillar which i think is causing it to jump into the inner part and trickle down.

where do you have your joints? (rubber ones not inhaling ones biggrin)

If you wanted to join it could you use a bit of copper brake pipe for the join?

Anyone know where to get a new door seal from?

mine used to leak on the upper front edge where the seal clung to the part below the windscreen pillar (slighty curved fibreglass edge and gravity wants the seal to drop off so it is a potential weak point on all cerbs it think).

on removal of the seal the grip part had spread apart and was not gripping at all and was siliconed on, i removed all the old crappy sealer, squashed the grip part together with mole grips and then windscreen bonded the ruber back on. so far shes water tight.

(i did have to remove the trim for paint though, so i will have to fix this back on again)

Apparently (as told to me by the guys at STR8SIX), the new seal is better than the old one as it has a double fold (visible in the link put up by sk7ine).

I'm in the process of getting my doors done, as I've had similar problems as those above, plus a lot of noise on the passenger door.

Just an idle thought in case you were tempted to move the join from halfway: mine is also along the sill line, but about a third of the way - which means that on occasion I actually catch the join with my foot as I attempt to get out of the car in as much of an elegant fashion as possible rolleyes. Result is that I am continually pushing it back into place.

If I change the door seal, I will move it to the half way mark - or at least alongside the seat where it can't be caught.

I was told by one of the guys at Topcats that there is a dedicated place for the joint along the bottom to allow any water to come out
