As many of you know i am an advocate of the Speed6 model, but I think most of my thoughts could apply to any model. I think that it has been established now that the performance of all 3 models is virtuallty the same. But for what its worth here are my thoughts following 7 months ownership.

Whats Good:

1)The performance! Its simply staggering, anyone who wants more needs their head examined. All the people to whom I have given a proper demonstration are simply unable to speak, it goes way beyond most peoples experience (including mine prior to ownership)
2)The looks (external): I personally think that the Cerbera strikes a perfect balance between attention grabbing good looks and not being too flashy. As I have stated in a recent thread my personal opinion is that the tuscan does not, its too flashy.
3) The looks (internal): I just love it, the leather, the unusual dashboard. Especially at night when its all lit up.
4) It can carry 4, well OK at a push, Ive had 2 teenagers in the back. I offered a ride as a prize in a village fate and it was won by a teenage girl! and she brought along 2 mates, what could I do? Powerslide city!
5) The cost. Id like to know of any other car that can provide what a Cerbera does for anything like the money. For anyone thinking about buying one, for god sake what more do you want, go for it. I dont have another car, I use my Cerbera for everything, and she dosnt complain.

Whats Bad:

1) The heating/cooling system. I still dont really understand it, a simple slider and a fan speed control would have been better.
2) The wipers. It realy annoys me to have to go through the entire sequence of intermitant/slow/fast/stop. Why not a stalk like everyone elses.

So what is bad is i think you will agree very minor. Just a final word on reliability. My car (a Speed6) does not have the best reputation in this area. I have driven her for 10000 mile3s now in 8 months. She has let me down only once, with clutch slave cylinder failure. OK this was annoying but it has been massivly offset by the positives. Looking at her now through the window she almost brings me to tears, I love her so much.

The one thing that iritated me at first was the steering wheel, it just wasn't comfortable to hold I got used to it but would have preferred a normal Chim/Griff wheel.

Agree on the interior, best I've seen in any car, love the understated, menacing look. As for the power it must surely be the same as a Tuscan? The running casts are a bit steep too aren't they? I love em the ultimate blackpool bruiser.

i have to say that the warranty on my car has been worth its weight in gold. If you can find a specialist that can really work WH then your made!

Agree with your opinion and you described very well the balance between attention & being too flashy.

Regarding the wiper sequence, you presumably know that pressing the WIPER/WASH button for less than a second will give one dry swipe per action.

Oops, that'll be me then.

Agree with most of that. The interior is the best I have seen on any car, even other TVR's.

However most people who went in the back of mine moaned constantly, so not sure I agree with the back seats bit but who really cares about that?

... And that you can quickly tap the button a few times to almost "pre-select" what it's going to do next, and 3 taps always takes it to one setting previous (as there are 4 states). Hence 3 quick taps on normal will take it to intermittent, and 3 on intermittent will turn it off. I know it's still a bit annoying, but doing it that way made it a little easier for me.

The back seats are 2 plus 1 and not 2 plus 2. For me the rear seats are there to add to the drama of the mysterious interior for the viewer through the car window - esp if the interior was dark. The eye wanders from a cluster of leather seats to the 'back bone' and the gear lever and homes in on the richly laden dials and the instrument panel. 90% of the viewers arround the town may not know the performance. The interior provides the first hint, the sound the next and a test drive sets a cat among pegions. Can Porsche do it.

The interior is great, but
1) a locable glovebox somewhere would be nice (I mean, it's not like the airbags take up all the space )

2) The cutout between the rear seats is a bit too mysterious...I don't go for mega-bass, so the best use I've seen was at a Virginia Water meet, where someone stuffed an "Alien" mask in there. Filled the useless space quite nicely.

3) That little plateau behind the cut-out switch/immobiliser socket should have higher sides, unless you corner at 20 Mph the whole time. (Or is that a Peter Wheeler "Drivesmoother TM" training aid?!)

Oh, and I need my head examined. Another 50 lb ft of torque would be nice, please.

I agree with Tam on the glovebox point, it would be very handy. Maybe we could craft a safe to fit in the rear cubby hole

the wiper thing is fine and if it is giving you a problem then I would suggest you are a nit licking little sod (only kidding).

Right now the V8s are are busy being angry! The grunt alone clears up the road. The ferocious pop & bang is a celebration after the kill. There is but only a slight difference in the S6 & V8 noise.
