laugh You got your usage out of that didn't you!

Firstly have you bled the clutch properly?

I'd have replaced the slave seals while I was changing the clutch tbh. Just to be sure.

If there's no leaks under the bell housing or in the footwell then it's likely to be air.

waste not wink I bled the clutch then bled it some more then just a bit more just to be safe no air coming out of it and no fluid in the bell housing or anywhere around the slave so I used the old philosophy "if it is not broke don't fix it". I guess there could still be some air in there somewhere but I have done over a bottle of fluid bleeding the damm thing

What did you replace? The whole clutch, pressure plate and friction discs?

There have been issues with too thick friction discs being used an causing the same issues.

You can adjust the pedal to increase the amount of fluid displaced. You need to get up in the footwell to do this.

If that doesn't work then it'll be either the slave or master, one involves box back out the other is fiddly trying to get in through the little hole covered by the black patch in the engine bay.

Bummer, When you bled it how quickly did the fluid come out?

From doing mine I think I could empty the reservoir with about 4-5 pumps of the pedal. If yours is less than that I would suspect the Master.

If it's the same then I would suspect the Slave as if you're bleeding ok then it would suggest the master is ok. Also if, when pumping the pedal you close the bleed valve (tricky to do with one person) laugh can you feel the resistance change? If you can this would also point at the slave.

Super fast I can empty the reservoir in 2-3 pumps of the pedal

Worth looking at before ripping the whole lot out again!!...
Inside the gearbox beneath the gear stick there is a small plastic cup shaped thing. It sits between the gear stick and the gearbox if this has fallen out of position it can cause gear selection problems.
Its still a pain cos you have to undo the gearstick again but you can then stick your finger in there and feel for its presents or use a mirror and torch to look inside it.

I don't think the gearbox thingy explains the car creeping with pedal fully depressed.

Think thats what I had! returned to TVR power after HHC pronounced it to be a defective clutch. No matter what they did the couldnt get the clutch to clear the gears.
