Help! Weld or replace?

I've just had a major service and been informed both exhaust manifolds are cracked. They are original so 11 years old. Do I A- get them welded, or B- get nice, shiny, jolly expensive stainless ones for £925+VAT from ACT?

Has anyone experience of having them welded, and if so does it last or will I end up buying nice, shiny, jolly expensive stainless ones for £925+VAT + inflationary increases from ACT in a year or two?

if you dont mind spending the cash get the new ones, or get them welded. i had mine done 2yrs ago, they are still fine

Welded mine and has them coated. I do have a small crack that has reappeared but not enough to let and gas out (could just be in the thermal coating).

If you can afford them they're nice manifolds, bit dear for me though.

Thanks for the replies, looks like there are more options than I first thought. I'll get some prices for welding and maybe ceramic coating before I flash the wad.

Weld em up they'll be fine, you can add little gussets to strengthen them in the weaker areas if you like.

Had mine welded a couple of years ago and they have lasted ok!
