finally trailored her home last night. she's on the driveway, looking purrtty.

I glued tmy suedette headlining on last night so thats one of the hard jobs done.

the things I have to do before mot:

Get the right F**king windscreen fitted, the car is 1996 = the old style screen didnt fit right, autoglass now ordered a later style screen but the engineer said on the phone " by the looks of it, its not going to fit either", coming to bodge it on monday so we will see, yet another 2 weeks waiting most probably).
align the headlights so the beam is correct for mot.
put the parcel shelf, back seats, pillar trims and front seats in.
put all the ecu back and tie all the wires out of the way.
fiddle with exhaust system to get it sitting right and not vibrating on uncderplates.
mount the hid ballasts.
get my air boxes back from body shop nice and glossy.
then she should be mot'able

then the final niggly things to make me feel better :

fit my new pionner 6x9 in the dash
fix the passenger window prob (not dropping when pressing button)
fix the hot blower fan (not working)
install my decats
get some new number plates
refurb all the wheels as i scuffed on loading and unloading on the poxy narrow trailer.

pics to follow tonight. too busy last night getting the headlinging in before dark.

Oooh Ooooh Me Me Me wavey

I know this one bounce

Wiggle/clean/dry the electrical connector in the door. Well, thats how Ive fixed that problem...twice.

It is one of only 2 jobs I can do on the Cerb (other being the monumental task of replacing the battery)

LoL, well Ive only ever found one (not looked that hard TBH). The one Im referring to is in the door, toward the front. Sits in the hole at the bottom in line with the wing mirror. IIRC 3 wires going into a little plastic connector thingamybob (thats FUBAR tech speak)

Ive been working on the car flat out this weekend.
ive sorted the non blowing hot fan,
put all the interior in, with thick wadding under the carpets for more sound proofing.
door cards are on,
wiring behind the helmet holder and under the dashneatened up,
drivers door seal put on and siliconed.
6x9 speaker removed and a new one installed.
head unit put in.
engine dusted and spots of polish removed.
bonnet rest installed.
seat runners greased and swapped from cerbera seats and onto tuscan seats as tuscan ones are slightly shorter.

not too many photos as there are a few dry spots and parts that need further polishing, so after mot it will go back for a proper mop by the owner of the garage and not the apprentice.

things to do tomorrow:
sort passenger window not dropping problem(im baffeled over this, i have rung carl baker but the guru is on holidays and i didnt want to disturb him)
put passenger door seal on
adjust headlamps
secure hig ballasts
put air boxes back on
install de cats and VOILA.

ooohhhh and auto glass came through, despite the manager saying the later year screen is different to my broken one and they looked massively different(in all fairness I looked at the 2 side by side and they did look different. An early screen did not fit my 96 car!!!! the later screen fitted like a glove. so im well chuffed now as I thought I would be without a screen for a few weeks more.

A friend bought some wadding for his t4 camper conversion, its like lots of strands of fuzzy rope string etc, fused together.

its about 12-13mm thick and has a DB resistant rating as well as insulation properties.i had an off cut from him and it wieghed a fair bit.

My friend bought a huge roll of it off ebay for £30 i think. (it could possible be carpet underlay)

im so pleased its nearly ready, its such a shame its raining as i wanted to finish it off tonight and i have no garage to work in now. boohoo.

i knew someone would say that and notice it before long.

no they didnt paint over them, i smoked the original gastly orange ones to blend in with the dark paint and take your eyes away from them and keep lines easy to the eye.

i have clear ones in the boot of the car but fancied something different
