Just been out for a quick drive. Everything working normally, then without warning I went to change down a gear and clutch pedal had no pressure at all.Pedal completely floppy. I coasted to a halt and then had no drive. I could start engine, put into gear but no drive. After about 10 minutes I tried again to start in gear and I had drive again. Pressure back in the clutch pedal and could change gear but gear change a little stiff. Managed to get home. Just going to see if there is fluid in the resevoir. Any ideas on what needs attention.

Could be lack of fluid but the question is where it went. Check for fluid under the car that would suggest slave cylinder. Fluid under the pedals would suggest master cylinder, either could need new seals but youd be better off replacing them. Unfortunately it could also be that the fingers on the clutch are giving way which means a new clutch.
Worst case scenario you change all three and get a pretty big bill, best case is that you top it up and all is well! eek
Good luck! HTH

That would concern me greatly. That is not a symptom of failed master or slave cylinders, more of clutch failure.

Sounds like the clutch seized on the splines, so as to be disengaged even with the clutch pedal up. As it cooled down it freed up. Need to grease your shaft!

Just to complete the post, it turned out to be the Master Cylinder. All fixed for £135 including labour so not too drastic and my shaft didn't need greasing(good job as the wife had refused to grease it for me)
