Does anyone know what vehicle the Cerb 4.2 headlights are originally off? I've checked the alternative parts list and there is nothing there. They look like standard 7 inch as fitted to older fords, anyone got any ideas?

They don't come off anything. There a standard 'old school' Lucas 7" light, but the glass doesn't fit onto the light unit. If your after spares try the normal places, Clecer Trevor, Racing Green, TVR Spares etc etc - they're not silly expensive.

I've just bought lenses and reflectors from TVR car parts as they were the cheapest when I searched - £19.20+VAT per lens £38.70+VAT per reflector. They came in Bosch boxes but have had the labels removed to make it difficult to buy direct. I don't know if there is a part number moulded into the glass, I'll have a look when I get home.

Beat Ya biggrin

The markings on the glass are....

BOSCH 102 HC/R

E1 20
7110

With a big H4 in the centre

Not sure which one is the part no though.

Maybe but on the very edge mine says 1305 604 027 which looks suspiciously long enough to be a part number... (clever-dick mode off)

And inside the box there is 6 000 770 469 printed on the cardboard flap but I can't find this on the web. Time for more gin biggrin

using the numbers you gave I did a search and determined that both lens and reflector are made by Bosch;
the Lens is 1 305 604 027 and the reflector 1 305 314 930. However finding a supplier other than a TVR specialist would be really difficult. If one could be found I'll bet they could be bought much cheaper. Seems to me that all TVR parts are overpriced.

The part numbers are in the equivalent parts thread ( about halfway down page 3), but when I tried to source them from a motor factors they were no cheaper than the usual TVR sources.

What about using classic car sealed beam units, there are loads of these 7" units about and they only cost about a tenner, I reckon it might be worth investigating. My only reservation is regarding the fixing/adjusting mounts, which may not line up. But I think I will have a look.

Might be worth looking into, but may make them awkward to line up, would have to seal light to body afterwards.
