The assumption must be that the tyre is available in your rim size (see also: does size affect handling).
But it would make sense to divide into best all-purpose/road tyre and best track(/dragstrip?) tyre. I would vote for PZero in the road category, they continue to amaze me in both wet and dry conditions

just fitted Falken FK452 16" £69.40 incl vat from www.camskill.co.uk was going to fit toyo but noticed they are only W speed rated which i thought was only good for 168mph, i am probably not going to go this fast but if the car is quoted as being capable of doing 175+mph would your insurance company start getting funny about claims if they checked your tyres if you had a crash?
