Decided to replace my worn top diff bush yesterday. It has had some play in it for a while but I decided after a long drive on Saturday that the time had come.

What a bu**er of a job. It's not the fact that the bush was tight in the chassis housing but the fact that there is very little room to work up there. I am fortunate to have a four post car lift and well equipped workshop so I really take my hat off to those of you who work on your cars in single garages / on driveways.

As ever this forum came to my aid with information on how to proceed (the search worked for a change). It gives you confidence to press ahead with some DIY jobs. A great resource.

Yep, I did mine on my garage floor, it was an absolute bd, it took me hours to get it out, a junior hacksaw was the final answer. Nice poly bush in there now so all is good.
