just had the cerb services (12k service) and all in all it went well i think. but one of the reports they have said "we would suggest renewing the clutch mater cylinder as the pushrod has lost its circlip". to me a hole new master cylinder for a circlip seem a costly answer. just wondering what i should do about this issue. im planning to get the car up on a set of ramps in the next few weeks to clean up and give the chassie a good repaint to keep it protected.

thanks matt

Seems a bit over the top, first of all is the clyinder leaking if not leave it and just put on a new circlip, not an expensive job just a bit fiddely to replace the master cylinder but deffo replace even if minor leak or it will let you down and probarbly in the middle of the night in the middle of no where eek

its connected to the clutch pedal, you have to remove it through the hole in the drivers wing. You should be able to replace the circlip with the cylinder still place, its behind the rubber boot (well should be) which the little push rod goes through, behind the clutch pedal. Get on your knees and have a look
