Hi Guys

Just a quick quiry i have!!
the bonnet on my cerbera lifts when you going around 70mph or on a windy day when wind is blowing up the front end... seems to lift about an inch but when driving i cant tell if thats in the middle of the bonnet or the clip end...

The bonnet catch is turned closed all the way... how far do your nylon pins go into the catch????? I've put new bonnet rubber mushrooms on its made abit of diffrence but not alot.

Do cerbera bonnets usually move??? its very of putting!!!

look underneath the front bumper and see if you have a small lip spoiler, more than likely it is missing (you will see a couple of small holes in the underside of the bumper where it was attached) this helps air flow at high speeds and stops your bonnet from lifting.

you could also play with the bonnet pins and wind them in a bit so they fit tighter and try putting a small piece of rubber on each side where the bonnet edges sit down by the lock pins, this will give a tighter fit and less movement.

check the front hinge of the bonnet too. If you can lift the front edge you'll need to get a spanner inside the front bumper, near the airbox inlet, to tweak up the bolts. Made a world of difference on mine, fiddly but doable smile

What he said.

My bonnet started to lift while over at Spa last month(quite interesting at 160mph). All that was needed was to spin the pins out 3 or 4 times. Perfick smile

What condition are the rubber gromets in that fit into the plates on the underside of the bonnet its self?

If these wear or drop out the bonnet pins will just poke into a hole and leave room for movement. Standard cable grommets from Halfrauds assorted box fit fine and cure that problem readily.

If its the same as the Chim one i have loads at home i made up out of sheet ali, reason being that if i hit a high speedbump / small animal it will bend out of the way rather than rip the self tappers out of the fibreglass.

I'm already onto my second splitter after hitting a dead fox, but it did its job and just bent out of the way thumbup

If you want any dimensions i can measure it up tonight
