the chassis coating has been damaged at the four corners on the outriggers when its been in the air on the ramp. there is some rust so whats the best way to treat the rust, then what do you use to reseal it.

mant thanks

Most of the commercially available rust killers are good - ku-rust, jenolite or similar. A couple of good coats of POR-15 paint is great for resealing it all.

I've been using this stuff:

It's similar to POR15 as in it dehydrates rust, if you read the blurb a chemical reaction takes place expelling a gas through pores in the paint, after 24hours the pores close.......sounded good to me, only the best for a Cerb.

I treated mine a couple of years ago with different stuff and then waxoiled it. It was a pain working on jacks in the garage, when it was winter. I waxoiled half the car as the other half went all over the garage walls and floor, as well as me. Never again. This time, mines in RTRacing as we speak having it done....and i'm warm and dry.

Hi Anthony,

Had my cerb on axle stands for the last three weeks (nec show got in the way last weekend!),

dropped off all four corners - getting the wishbones and some suspension parts shot blasted and replacing all of the suspension bushes..

Will fir new rear shockers - front upper and lower joints will be replaced - probably replace rear handbrke shoes too - Crispian and me had a right game removing them yesterday pm..

Gonna to go through (not literraly I hope) the chassis getting all of the loose pwder coating off...then either doing with por15 or some other stuff I picked up from the NEC last weekend: Epoxy Mastic 123...evidently the DB's when it comes to preventative stuf?

Gonna be busy underneath the car for a while by the looks of things!

Good luck with yours mateclap
