Looks very similar to the one on my Triumph Dolomite Sprint (or any other 70's Triumph).

Try googling 'punkah louvre' that's what they are called. I seem to remeber looking for smarter ones several years ago and came across a site that sells lovely aluminium ones.

But I can't remember the name of the site so I realise that this is of no use whatsoever to you wobble

Its me who's selling the one in the classifieds. The price includes postage.

I bought it from the TVR main dealler in Harrogate, but never used it. Its all plastic with the eyeball vent at the front and a pipe leading off the back of the housing.

I think the standard items are basic issue British Leyland, prevalent on Minis, Triumphs and MGs of the era.

Does anyone know whether the MX5 vents are the same size? They are a similar pattern, and are available in a chrome trim or in chrome...

I don't think that those "close" though, which is necessary on the console vent to stop the cold air!

Hum the wife has a Mk1 MX5/eunos and she's shopping in Cardiff today with a friend. I seem to remember they pop out with a screwdriver....

Wanders back in again. Nope they are different sizes slightly and don't have the doors/flaps to shut out the airflow, they are straight through.

Anyone know if there is an alloy replacement? That would look good, much better than black plastic...
