Mine is matt green and has been for a number of weeks.

Must get the bucket and sponge out soon.

Seriously, would love to see a matt black Cerb.

There was a race car in matt black known as the stealth Cerb. It was at CREAM 2005.

It looked ok, but I'm not sure it's a good look for a road car. A bit "trying too hard" for my taste.

Mind you, it didn't help that the stealth Cerb had fluorescent pink wing mirrors, spoilers tips, etc! biggrin

I'm very tempted by a nice classic gloss (non-metallic) black. Don't know if I'd go matt though.

I like the matt black look on cars - can look very mean. But I am not convinced that it would work on a cerb. I also think this is best for the under 30's crowd who can carry it off better !

Cant see the pics from where I am logged in. But I think its a mid blue?
I guess the problem will be that a paint colour change will devalue the car if the interior, engine bay etc dont match up?
I would personally either paint it as it was out of the factory or if really determined then go for a different colour but do a full respray incl engine bay etc... I would go normal black plus black wheels.

i quite like the changing color under the light paint ( blue pearl or what ever it is ) , painting the engine bay and all that no problem , i really need to decide soon maybe keep the original color and get the interior done

i will wait to hear from more people then i ll decide, i just don't wanna get shredded for doing it matt black

If your car is a recent purchase I'd suggest you live with the paint and keep some money aside to get everything under the skin right first.

Live with the colour as it is mate - I;ve just done a full colur change, it'll end up being twice as much work as you think - doors off, inner door panels off, door panels stripped, engine bay stripped etc etc.

You'll be so dissapointed when you first hear the engine start - listen to mine, the cheap little digital camera makes it sound worse than it is, but they certainly don't sound sweet when they first start up biggrin

i think your car is HALCYON ATLANTIS, nexa paint code HWF6B but don't quote me on this. i know you said you didn't have the plaque on the front with the info, would be best to order a small sample and do a test card.

TVR's are meant to be bright and flambouant, i don't think matt black would work, it would be like painting it brown or beige vomit

I've done a colour change in the past(BL Mustard to Ford Rosso), a lot of work but worth it IMO, personally I wouldn't go matt black on a Cerb eek
If I were to paint my one (It won't happen) I'd go Orange and black, like the one on the recent TiTTs Cerb outing.

There was a matt black 4.5 for sale when I was looking for mine a couple of years ago. I was all booked to go and see it but someone beat me to it by a couple of hours. It had a moulded front splitter and I thought it looked superb in the matt finish. I havnt seen or heard of it since so I dont know if it was a PHer that bought it - the seller probably was judging by the PH sticker if I remember rightly.
