Just been hunting round for insurance on a 4.2 Cerbera and was very surprised with who were cheapest, well so far anyway. Im 30 and have been quoted £637 at Tesco online. I thought that was pretty good, but if anyone knows cheaper I would appreciate hearing from them!

Tesco were by far the cheapest for me. They still charged me several times more than that, though.

Tesco were also the cheapest by far for me - 31 yrs old on a 4.5.

Plus they offered breakdown assistance for a few quid more.

Yep, Tesco knocked everyone else in to a cocked hat last Feb. I was 27, full NCB, Police Class 1, garage etc... £650 on my new Elise 111S. I should get my renewel through any day now. I've done some prelim. enqs. Direct Line want £680 and Elephant £610, but I'm not sure I'd swap to save £50 ish. Tescos have been brilliant when I've taken demos out from my Lotus Dealer. Esprit V8 for the day? No problem, said Tesos, FOC. AND... I've always got through to a HUMAN at the end of their phone, which is nice.

I get silly quotes cos I have a dodgy southeast london postcode (silly as in it starts with a 2 and there are three more digits). Classicline came in at a third of the price, tho no breakdown cover.

I tried a quote on my Supra with Tescos the other night and they wanted £903

That is nearly £200 more than they quoted me last year.

I'm sure they pick figures out of thin air.

Whenever Ive tried tesco's, the same quote from Direct line is cheaper (try online). Both online quotes require exactly the same info which makes me suspicious. Anyway hence both my cars were with tesco, now with Direct line...Worth a try getting an online quote I say.

I'm 33, live in sleepy Somerset, Garage, NCB, 5000 mile pa, Tesco an Manning's were the best by £100 at £670ish, I'm still owed £600 from the Independant colapse a few years back, the then Manning's prefered insurance company, anyone else still waiting for the liquidators to proces them??
