I know the rear number plates on cerberas are backlit, but mine really is crap. Theres not much light coming through at all. Is that the norm?

I suppose I should have known the answer shouldn't I. It is a TVR for god sake.

Have you tried taking it off and cleaning the back of the plate.

Did that with mine and it made it a bit clearer.

Common problem is dirty water/dust getting behind plate. Seal round the edges when replaced, with double sided sponge or neoprene tape. As the edge of the plate tends to wobble, make sure it is a sufficiently deep profile. To increase light transmission, use self-adhesive reflective sheet (as used behind radiators) and stick it to the car panel behind the plate, as this will reflect more light outward.

Try sticking some reflective tape or mirrors to the back of the car behined the number plate on the car body it's self to reflect some of the light forward onto the back of the number plate. but realy don'nt see the problem if the cop's can'nt see it all the better. Good luck with the MOT

Check that you have got the right type of number plate fitted to the rear. Mine was very dull for months until I realised the dealer had fitted a standard plate, and there a main TVR Dealer.

The correct one has a sort of honeycomb effect.

Mick

saw your Cerbera today on the ramp, it looks very tidy. Very good colour for resale.

It must be cold up in Sheffield as I couldn't help but notice that your nuts were blue too

James

Theres nothing worse than cold nuts!

When I got the car, the nuts were black, pitted and looked generally crap...hence the colour coding. Obviously, they need touching up if the wheels are removed.

PS If ever I need to sell, or upgrade, I know where to come.
