Evening all,

nearly have the gearbox out except for the gearbox/bellhousing bolt near the top passenger side, i can get my hex drive into it square but the lip protruding out of the gearbox a couple of inches back wont even allow a wobble extension to fully engage and get around the bulge in the box then back to a straight angle to the rear of the car as the wobble then hits the very narrow channel in the chassis, i am using a 3/8 snap on hex drive (thin wall) with 3/8 wobbles of varying lengths but no joy.

The only way i can seem to connect to it is with the hex drive entering at an angle intot he bolt which is obviously going to strip it given how tight the other 3 were. Any tips to getting this bleedin bolt out...im so close....i know im being a numpty with something but i cant seem to work out how to get the hex square and get around the bulge....and back again

Doh!!! Didnt think of that, stupid me, would Halfrauds have them? Are they able to handle the torque?

Oh and does the reverse switch wire just pull off as a connector or do i have to unbolt the 21mm switch/sensor as a whole to get it away?

Reverse switch will just pull off, 2 pins under the rubber boot.

Halfords should sell them, might be as part of a set though.

Torque should be fine, they only need to be about 60-70 Nm or so and I use them to do up dyno propshaft bolts due to the access round the yokes.
